The Lair of the Dragon

"The plains around you darken as the sun sets.  The mountain in teh distance towers over the surrounding lands.  The beauty of Gaia's fortress is accented by the sun's colorful rays that always accompany a sunset.  A falcon calls across the plains, his voice reaching even your ears.  Night falls, and the sun is gone.  The moon is full, shining brightly on the mountain below.

As you approach, the woods that surround the tower of rock engulf you.  The moon filters through the trees above you.  At the edge of light, strange creatures dance.  Unseen, these creatures laugh and play at the edge of reality.  The faerie realm seems so close now.  A path opens before you and seems to lead you towards a cave in the distance.

As you enter, the darkness is broken.  Torches line the mouth of the cave and the entrance to the next cavern.  Standing tall on either side of the cavern entrance across from you are two stone dragons fifty feet tall.  As you study these statues, another stone figure attracts your attention.  A falcon spreads his wings and wraps around the two stone dragons.  As two roars and a falcon call stretch down to you, you realize you have entered the dragon's lair."

This is my home away from home.
